    Day 1/Mar 20     Vancouver - Beijing
    Your journey begins with your transpacific flight. Move your watch a day
    ahead as you cross the International Dateline.

    Day 2/Mar 21     Beijing  
    Welcome to Beijing, the political and cultural center of the world's most
    populous nation. You will be met and transferred to 5-star New Otani Hotel.
    Dinner and Orientation. (D)

    Day 3/Mar 22     Beijing
    In the morning, visit Tian An Men Square, pass through the gate of
    heavenly peace and enter the Forbidden City which was the imperial
    residence of the emperors and their families.  Enjoy a Dim Sum Lunch,
    before visiting the beautiful Summer Palace followed by time at the
    Fragrant Hill Mountain Yoga Retreat Center, where you can enjoy a
    Yoga Session, learn calligraphy, hike or just relax.  (B/L/D)







    After lunch, take a tour of the Hutong  to visit the
    old residential area and visit a family to see the life of the local people.  
    Return to the hotel, and meet the Fengshui Master for a short talk on the art
    of Fengshui at the hotel’s garden. A delicious roast Peking Duck Dinner is
    planned (B/L/D)

    Day 5/Mar 24     Beijing
    Get up early today to tour the Temple of Heaven to see local people doing
    Taiji.  You will also visit the Lama Temple. After lunch, return to the  hotel.  
    This afternoon, free time to explore, enjoy a foot massage or shop. The Silk
    Market and Wangfujiang streets are within short walk from your hotel.

    Day 6/Mar 25     Beijing - Xian
    After breakfast, take late morning Air China flight to Xian. Arrive in Xian, the
    ancient capital over 1100 years and transfer to the 5-star Tintan Times
    International Hotel. Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Mosque.

    Day 7/Mar 26     Xian
    Full day excursion starting at the Terra Cotta Warriors site. The Horses
    are in battle formation guarding the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Later,
    visit the Ceramics and Pottery Center. Enjoy an amazing Tang Dynasty
    Singing and Dancing Show with a Dumpling Dinner.  Stroll about the Ancient
    City Wall after dinner to admire the beautiful lighting. (B/L/D)

    Day 8/Mar 27    Xian - Hangzhou
    Visit the Yangling Museum  in the morning.  View the excavation process as
    you walk on a glass floor over the tombs of China’s only underground
    museum.  While the actual imperial tomb of the emperor has yet to be
    unearthed, archaeologists have excavated more than 20 satellite tombs.   
    After a Local flavoured lunch, transfer to airport to fly Air China flight  to
    Hangzhou, arriving in late afternoon.  Transfer to the 5-Star Hangzhou
    Sofitel West Lake Hotel.  After dinner, Meditation with Marie  (B/L/D)  

    Day 9/Mar 28  Hangzhou
    Yoga with Marie before breakfast.  Visit Lingyin Temple, and explore Hu
    Qing Yu Tant (Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine) to learn about
    traditional Eastern medicine.  Watch a demonstration from modern day
    masters. Afternoon cruise on West Lake.  (B/L)  Enjoy your own dinner
    tonight.

    Day 10/Mar 29  Hangzhou – Shanghai
    Morning Yoga with Marie.  Visit the Dragon Well Tea Plantation.  We will be
    able to pick the tender tea sprouts, view the process of tea making and
    learn the medicinal qualities of this superb tea. After dinner,  transfer to train
    station to take the evening train to Shanghai via  D5680 departing at 6.23
    pm, arriving Shanghai at 7.40pm.  Check in to the  5-star Jinjiang Hotel.

    Day 11/Mar 30  Shanghai
    This morning visit the Yu Garden, a 16th century garden in Old Shanghai.  
    The Ming period garden includes ponds, dragon lined walls and bridges
    separating gardens and pavilions.  Dim Sum Lunch.  Afternoon city tour to
    The Bund and Xintiandi, a well known boutique area full of
    entertainment and shopping. At night, bars and restaurants
    open up for business and people fill up the streets.
    Stroll Nanjing Road and see all the neon lights.  Dinner on own.

    Day 12/Mar 31  Shanghai
    After lunch, visit the  Jade Buddha Temple and the Shanghai Museum with
    Chinese paintings and ancient furniture. Then take a stroll down People
    Square, where the best architecture surrounds the area. Farewell  Dinner is
    followed by an optional  Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)

    Day 13/Apr 01     Shanghai - Vancouver
    There will be some free time in the morning to finish your last minute
    shopping. Say goodbye to Shanghai as you board your transpacific flight
    home. (B)

    Day 4/Mar 23 Beijing
    After breakfast, marvel at the Great Wall and
    enjoy Yoga on the Wall with Marie.  En route visit
    a Jade Carving Workshop.  Jade is associated
    with the Heart Chakra and in Chinese tradition it
    brings luck and keeps negativity away.
